Gravity Cheese Biscuits

[Cafe Gravity]

Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1 cup grated old or extra-old cheddar or gouda, extra for sprinkling

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. Mix all the ingredients by hand until the dough comes together. Add more cream if the dough appears to be dry.
  3. Knead for a few minutes on cuttting board then pat down into an inch thick circular cake.
  4. Cut with a round cutter or wedges / squares with a knife.
  5. Brush tops with more cream and sprinkle with cheese.
  6. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes until golden brown and delicious.
