Easy Biscuits

Start pre-heating the oven before starting recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups (15 ounces) All Purpose Flour
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons table salt
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted (optional)

Directions

  1. Adjust rack to upper middle position and heat oven to 450 degrees. Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In medium bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Microwave cream until warmed (95 - 100 degrees) 60 - 90 seconds.
  3. Stir cream into mix unitl soft, uniform dough forms.
  4. Spray 1/3 cup dry measuring cup with vegetable oil spray, and drop level scoops of batter 2 inches apart on prepared sheet. Respray measuring cup after every 3 or 4 scoops.
  5. Bake until GB&D, 10 - 12 minutes rotating sheet half way through.
  6. Brush hot biscuits with butter & serve warm.
  7. Store leftovers in a zipper-lock bag at room temp for 24 hours. Reheat in a 300 degree oven fo 10 minutes.
